Singing with Noel
We are taking part in a very exciting project at the moment. Every Thursday since September we have been going over to the Family Resource Centre in Arden View with Noel, the music teacher, to sing with the Afternoon Club. We have chosen lots of songs that we all like singing and we sing them together, accompanied by Noel on guitar and John on harmonica. We even get to do a bit of dancing, too! At Christmas, the Afternoon Club visited us in school and we had a Christmas sing-a-long. We have started to record our songs which we will make into a CD and we will be entering the Co-operation is Cool project in March. More details will follow ...

Christmas
What a great day we had today. Dinjoe Connolly collected us on his bus and took us into town to meet Santa in the Bridge Centre. Santa was very glad to see us and gave everyone a lovely present. Many thanks to Dinjoe and John, from the Bridge Centre, for arranging this.

Halloween Parade
We had a great day today. We all dresed up as either the BFG or Sophie. We have been reading the story in class. Everyone loved the parade and the chocolate factory in the P.E. hall! It was a great day.

The special class have written and recorded a new composition, entitled 'The Butterfly Song.' You can listen to the song by clicking on the link below for Podcasts. You can still read our Butterfly Blog. Click on the link below to read all about our new project.

September 2011
We welcomed a new pupil into our class this year. We're all busy getting to know each other again after the summer break. This term we are running our school bank again. The children save money for Christmas presents for their families and bring in their savings on a Friday. Each child has a bank book so they can watch their savings grow. We have also been to the library and will be making this a regular event this year.
